The people normally make money from their down line. This means they make a commission from everyone that is under them. The people at the top of the pyramid are the ones making the most money.

The Total Life Changes products are enticing without a doubt. I truly believe they are worth trying. 
Although I am not a supporter of MLMs, I do like it when the MLM Company does have quality products.
As far as Multi-level Marketing Companies go, I only have positive things to say about Total Life Changes. In my opinion, some of the hype they try to create with various MLMs can be annoying though. I am an introvert type personality so this business model is not for me. I do not like the hyped up conferences nor recruiting people. Man, I despise having to recruit people. If I am being honest, I do not like any type of sales in general. That is my opinion.
Most MLMs have a similar and confusing commission structure. I do feel it is critical to look at the products that the company offers to test the quality of the company.

My only issue is that it’s still MLM. By definition, MLM inflates the prices of items to distribute percentile bonification to several levels of distribution not necessarily going against product quality but against final consumer value for their money.
If you can sell something to someone else and after a while coming to the same person and let him know that more of the 50% of the money he paid when anywhere but to the original manufacturer, with a smile in your face: This business model is for you.
