What is Thrive Life ?

Thrive Life was the vision of Jason Budge and Steve Palmer.  They saw a problem and they found a solution.

It takes so much time to go to the grocery store and especially if you have little ones with you.  Fresh fruit and vegetables get moldy and go bad quickly.  Hamburger meat  is even wasted if you only use a portion and put the rest in the refrigerator only for it to get freezer burn.

Jason and Steve found a solution to this problem.  The solution is freeze dried food.  They built a state of the art facility that freeze dries various types of food and locks in the freshness and nutrients while locking out the bad stuff.  You can use the food whenever you want it as it is freeze dried and their is no shelf life.

Below is a video to explain how Thrive Life is a simpler alternative than going to the grocery store.

Benefits of Thrive Life:

  • You do not have to worry about your food getting moldy and wasting it.
  • The foods do not spoil in a few days or even a few weeks.
  •  You do not have to thaw or cut or degrease raw meat.
  •  You do not have to chop any veggies or peel any fruit.
  •  They claim there is an extra burst of flavor in their food.

Let me share with you a little bit of history on Thrive Life.

History of Thrive Life

2005

Shell Reliance was founded by Jason Budge and Steve Palmer.  They launched their first product called the Food Rotation System.  This item gave people an efficient way to store and rotate their canned goods in a compact space.  This item became a national seller.

2006

The Thrive sales began.

After a year of extensive research and development, Shell Reliance announced their innovative freeze dried system.  This system allows people to enjoy nutritious and tasty freeze dried food for years to come.

This is perfect fr healthy meals and also long term storage.

2008

The Q is introduced.

Shelf Reliance launched an innovative online tool in 2008.  It is called “the Q.”

This online shopping tool allows for Thrive foods to be shipped right to your front door.

You can set up a queue of Thrive foods.  They can be managed online and delivered right to your door.

2009

Their Direct Sales program is launched.  Shell Reliance revamped its core marketing strategy.

They introduced the Home Party business model where users of Thrive products could share Thrive with others and also tell them about the business opportunity.

2010

Thrive Nations was introduced.

Five percent of all profits are used to help impoverished families and communities around the world.  They are empowered with tools, skills, and education they need to become independent and live a better quality of life.

2011

Shell Reliance built a new 45,000 square foot facility located in American Fork, Utah.   It incorporated a studio kitchen, product showroom, conference rooms, and warehouse with state-of-the-art equipment.  It also featured certified gluten-free production lines.  I definitely like the Gluten Free part because I am Gluten-intolerant.

The first Shelf Reliance annual convention was also held to empower and motivate customers and consultants.

2012

Shell Reliance gained worldwide growth and recognition.

New markets opened up in Canada and Puerto Rico.  Shell Reliance was ranked 12th in the nation on the Inc. 500/5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the US.  They also received recognition as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year award in the region of Utah.  Thrive Expressed also launched a line of easy-to-make soups, sides, and entrées.

2013

The name of the company was changed to Thrive Life.

The Home Party program exploded to 10,000 consultants.  The Path was created for new and aspiring consultants.  The Path is an interactive training program.

Thrive introduced the just-add-water sauce mixes and in addition, another of freeze dried herbs and seasoning blends.

2014

Thrive introduced a new online recipe site filled with recipes to make with the Thrive foods.  They also introduced bread and cookie mixes.

2015

Thrive Life introduced a new line of ready to eat snacks.

Thrive Life’s Social Media presence grew by 800%.

Is Thrive Life a Scam?

No.  Thrive Life is not a scam.  They really offer some great, healthy and convenient products for the fast paced world that we live in.

Can You Make Money with Thrive Life?

Yes.  You can make money with Thrive Life.  Thrive Life is structured as a Multi-level Marketing company and it is typically not easy to make money with MLMs.

In my opinion, there are more reliable and effective ways to make money.

Is Thrive Life a MLM?

Thrive Life refers to themselves as a Direct Sales Company.

Yes, this is a MLM.  Over the years, the words MLM have gained a bad reputation so a lot of MLMs call themselves Direct Sales Companies.

I am not a fan of MLMs.

Are Thrive LifeProducts quality products?

Yes.  The Thrive Life Products are very good products with positive reviews.  I would use them myself.

Some of Thrive Life’s Product categories are listed below:

  • Snackies
  • To Go
  • Ruvi
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Meats and Proteins
  • Dairy
  • Seasonings
  • Sauces
  • Basics
  • Simple Place
  • Thrive Express

What are the Pros and Cons of Thrive Life?

Convenient products Loved ones might avoid you if you are always trying to sell them something.

My Final Thoughts on Thrive Life

what is thrive life

I do like the convenience of the Thrive Life Products.  In this fast-paced world, it is important to have healthy food options.  I would use the Thrive Products myself.

Thrive Life is a Direct Sales Business Model or MLM.  I am not a fan of MLMs because you have to not only sell products to make a commission but you have to recruit people to do the same.  I am not a fan of recruiting people.  It is challenging and can be annoying not only to you but also to the people that you are trying to recruit.

I do give Thrive Life  high rating because I like their products though.

  1. I’m really bad at direct selling or any type of MLM (I must admit it… it is what it is!). This would be good for that kind of person I’m not. Thanks for your recommendation anyways.

I went into your alternative proposal and I must admit it’s more like me. A clear lesson learned from years of trying to make a living online is: You can’t do it alone; you need either good money to pay others to get the right set of thing done the right way; or a great team backing you up by guiding you throughout the entire processes.

I’ve found very active support live chat and a lot of very useful tutorials with linked tasks to accomplish the desired objectives in each phase. Thanks for that great recommendation!

  2. I have been asked to research this Thrive Life company by my friends as they know I will do a good job of finding out whether such money-making opportunities are legitimate or not, and they will save time and money if they are not. Many are just not worth the time and effort these days, and some are scams. This one appears to be a legitimate company.

Normally I will look at a few reviews such as this one and then go to the company website to see what is there, but you have done a thorough job with your review of Thrive Life so that will not be necessary. Although I really like the line of products they have developed, I am sure there is a cost to support the MLM model that makes them expensive compared to alternatives that may be in the market.

Like you, I am not a fan of MLM business models, as this one is. Most people do not make money, they lose it when they get involved with an MLM company (or direct marketing, as they call their sales strategy). Then there is the recruiting angle, where more emphasis is placed on getting more people to buy into the program than on selling whatever they are selling. Tough sell for many people, and a recipe for losing money in my opinion. Better to stay away from this,

    • Hello Dave,

Thank you so much for your comment!  I am so glad that you agree with my Thrive Life Reviews.

I certainly did a lot of research to write the review.  I have to say, I do like their products.

I do not get involved with any MLMs and I have found that the most reliable way for me to make money online is by generating money through my own website.  I love developing websites and monetizing them and I do not have to worry about recruiting anyone.
