What is Multi-level Marketing (MLM)?

Multi-level Marketing is structured as a pyramid.  The sales people at the top sell products and make a commission and recruit more sales people to sell products and recruit more sales people to sell products and recruit sales people and on and on it goes.  Confused yet?  🙂 

The people normally make money from their down line.  This means they make a commission from everyone that is under them.  The people at the top of the pyramid are the ones making the most money.

Is Total Revital U a Scam?

Revital U has only been around since 2016 so it is really to early to tell with a long-term view if it is a scam or not.  Personally, I would like to let more time go by before making that decision.

Revital U is not registered with the Better Business Bureau though.  I am not sure why but that might give you some food for thought.

Can You Make Money with Revital U?

Yes.  You can make money with Revital U.  It is challenging to make money with MLMs though.  Most of the people making the money are at the top.

I have some ways that I do recommend to make money which I will discuss later in the article!

Is Revital U a MLM?

Revital U is a MLM.  That stands for Multi-level Marketing.

Multi-level Marketing Companies put a big emphasis on recruitment and also sales.  If you do not like recruiting people, you may want to consider other options for making money.

What is Revital U selling?

Revital U’s main product is a coffee that they claim gives you energy and helps you lose weight.  Well, regular coffee gives you energy. Let’s take a look and see what is in Revital U Coffee anyway.

It is instant coffee powder that is supposed to jump start your metabolism, increase your energy, and also suppress your appetite to aid in weight loss.

Exactly what kind of coffee is Revital U selling for $49 per jar?

Of course it has coffee.  Below is the list of other ingredients.  Read closely!

Vinitrox (they are Fruit Extracts)

Vinitrox is a trademarked athletic supplement and it is produced by Nexira. The mixture is supposed to be unique combination of apple and grape polyphenols.  Polythenols are thought to promote health in people and are found in traditional medicines and teas. Wikipedia states that this is unproven.  It references that these supplements are mainly excreted instead of absorbed.  This is due to low bioavailability.

Juglans Regia Bark Extract

They claim that this ingredient which is Walnut bark, works in connection with another additive.  This additive is called Octodrine.  Wikipedia states that the walnut fruit and bark extract does indeed have some positive potential medicinal value.  But, this medicinal value is not related to weight loss.

Octodrine

Revital U states that clinical tests show that this ingredient ingredient helps breakdown fat cells and as a result aids in weight loss.  This also enables an anabolic response, it improves athletlic performance and also helps increase mental focus and clarity.  It is a stimulant and could likely have a purpose in aiding weight loss.  Do not forget that stimulants are dangerous when they are abused.  Some side effects can be caused ranging from insomnia and anxiety to heart problems.

L-Theanine

The Revital U website claims that this assists with calming effects on the brain.  This is done by increasing the levels of serotonin and also dopamine. It is claimed to naturally provide a relief from anxiety and also stress. Stress is a common cause for over-eating and weight gain. This is a herbal supplement found in tea leaves.  It is supposed to improve cognitive clarity.

PEA (Phenylethylamine HCL)

They state that it stimulates neurotransmitters and it does this by releasing dopamine.  This improves mood and increases alertness, focus, and even concentration.  Wikipedia says it acts as a central nervous system stimulant in humans.  Wikipedia also states that it produces effects similar to amphetamine and that the increased feeling of goodness lasts 5 to 10 minutes.  That’s not very long!

Alpha-Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline

Revital U claims that this ingredient is safe and healthy and natural. It allegedly increases brain alertness and memory function.  They also say it is a critical nutrient for muscle tone and also helps with body shaping.  Wikipedia states that this drug has potential as a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. This drug is acclaimed as safe  by the FDA.  It could enhance cognition bu there are no studies proving it other than the Alzheimer’s study.

Caffeine

It does not say if this coffee has added caffeine.  Caffeine itself is easy to find and inexpensive.

Nettle Root Extract

Revital U claims that this is a plant-based herbal extraction and aids with reducing blood sugar levels.   Somehow they say that it also maintains good cholesterol. This herb has been used in traditional medicine for many years.   People today still use it for prostate and urinary problems.

Octopamine

Revital U claims that this stimulates Beta-3 Adrenergic Receptor.  This is responsible for lipolysis which is fat breakdown and thermogensis which is fat burning. This could be linked to Orthostatic Hypotension.   That is when you get up quickly and then you immediately faint after getting up because your body has a hard time maintaining adequate blood pressure.  That does not sound like  good thing to me!

Chromium Polynicotinate

Revital U states that most fat Americans don’t get enough chromium because of terrible diets.  They claim it is essential for regulating insulin.

What do I think?

After researching all of this, I am concerned about the safety of this product.  All of these stimulants may not be good for you and could interact with other medications that you may be taking.  It is not worth the risk.

Personally, I would not put this in my body.

My Final Thoughts on Revital U

and various stimulants can cause heart palpitations in me and that is scary.  I do not want anything effecting me in that way.

I am not a fan of MLMs and believe there are more reliable and simpler ways to make money.
