Content Marketing Tactics

There are many different ways to drive traffic to your website.  I am going to show you some of the most strategic Content Marketing Tactics that I have learned from the most financially successful Internet Entrepreneurs.  I learned all of my Content Marketing Tactics from Wealthy Affiliate.  And, I am showing this to you because I want to help you achieve your dreams.  First, let’s get clear on the definition of Content Marketing.  Below is the definition of Content Marketing according to the on-line Dictionary.  After that is the definition of Tactics so you will understand what this article is all about!

con·tent mar·ket·ing
a type of marketing that involves the creation and sharing of online material (such as videos, blogs, and social media posts) that does not explicitly promote a brand but is intended to stimulate interest in its products or services.
“social media is an integral part of content marketing”

plural noun: tactics
an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.

So, the best way to promote your website is through Content Marketing.  The type of Content Marketing that we will discuss in this article is the creation of Blog Posts for your website.  The more quality content that you have on your website, the better your Google Rankings will be.  The higher your Google Rankings are, the more traffic you will have on your website.  The higher the traffic to your website, the more sales or conversions you will make.  Are you getting the picture?

To carefully plan your strategy is always the best way.  Giving a lot of thought to the Content that you write will make your Content much more interesting.  Sharing your ideas and helping others is fun and it is rewarding.  So, let’s talk about some important Content Marketing Tactics that I have learned along the way.

Focus On Helping People And the Money Will Follow

Now, this is a very important point and you might wonder why I am mentioning it.  I want to drive home the importance of writing quality content.  Quality Content comes from actually showing someone how to do something.  You might be showing someone how to build a website, how to start their own business or even showing them the best products on-line that you have found.  When you show someone something with the purpose of helping them, that changes everything.

So, right here and right now, let’s change our mindset to helping people.  It will make YOU feel good and in turn, it will also make you much more successful.  When you think about showing someone how to do something in order to help them, your content will come out more authentic and genuine because it is!  Isn’t that a beautiful concept!?

Use Conversational Speak In Your Posts

So, what does this even mean?  Using Conversational Speak in your posts means to write your posts just like you are sharing something with someone who is right beside you.  That is exactly what I am doing in this article to you right now!  Treat your writing like you are writing to a friend that you want to help.  Caring and conversational content speaks volumes!  Think about how you feel when you read content like this.  You feel connected with the writer, don’t you?  Well, that is what you want… to connect with your Visitors.  You want to develop a natural genuine connection with your readers.

Target Your Keywords Before Writing Your Posts

What is the definition of keywords?  Here is the Internet Definition:

Your SEO keywords are the key words and phrases in your web content that make it possible for people to find your site via search engines. A website that is well optimized for search engines “speaks the same language” as its potential visitor base with keywords for SEO that help connect searchers to your site.

After I think of a topic to write about that is relevant to my website, I always use JAAXY for my keyword research.  First, think of a topic in which you have some knowledge to share with others.  Make sure it is a topic that you are passionate about.  If you feel passionate about the topic that you are writing about, you will not lose interest.  It will be easy to find the motivation to write content for your website.

Write Quality Posts Consistently!

It is important to add posts to your website on a consistent basis.  This will tell Google that your website means business and it is fresh.  When you consistently add fresh and original content, your Google rankings will increase.  Starting off, I think it is a great goal to shoot for writing and posting 2 Blog Posts per week.  If you have more free time, of course, you will want to do more.  My eventual goal is to write at least 5 quality Blog Posts per week.  Just think, if you are consistent throughout the year…  at the end of the year you could have 100 plus quality Posts on your site.  You could be the proud owner of an Authority Site that is getting traffic and even generating revenue!  See how this continual effort adds up?  You can do this if your niche is something that you are interested in AND you put your mind to it.

Dream Big!

Set your sites on what you wish to achieve in life.  our mindset is everything.  One of my favorite sayings is…  “It Takes A

 You Get What You Give!

From this article, I think you are getting the picture on how to write quality content that drives traffic.  Do not think of this as an overnight process but think of it as a continual adventure in which you need to show persistence and consistency.  Each day of work adds an additional day of progress to the next.  Just start by writing one Blog Post at a time working toward your dreams of either being a successful full-time Internet Entrepreneur or making some extra income.  The choice is yours.  What you put into this will be exactly what you get out of it.

  1. Enjoyed your post and all the valuable “content”. You described precisely how to generate good contact as well as its importance. Keyword research is also vital as well as as long as we focus on helping others it all comes together. Thanks.

  2. Hi Alisha,

Your section on writing as if you’re talking to a friend really resonated with me. I was taught years ago on a copywriting course to create a persona – that could be someone you know who would benefit from what you have to offer or a fictitious person that you create in your mind.

If you then write as if talking specifically to that person your writing will come across much more personal.

It’s a method I try (not always successfully!) to implement.

    • Martin, Thank you so much for the comment! That is good advice! I like to write like I am talking in conversation to someone that I know, care about and want to help. And I do care and want to help so that is definitely true!!
