What is Arbonne?

Arbonne is a skincare company that focuses on healthy living. It has been established back in 1975 and I’d say that it’s definitely keeping up with the trends and changes in its industry.

If you’re looking to turn on the page and lead a healthy lifestyle, Arbonne can supply you with natural skincare products, clean beauty products that are great for any skin type, and even nutrition.

Therefore, it looks like Arbonne is perfect for getting people clean inside out. Their website is very minimalistic and sleek, products are looking very attractive, and everything they “promise” seems very realistic, especially considering their prices.

However, is Arbonne as good as it portrays itself? There’s also another side to Arbonne not many people know about which is their consultant program they offer.

Keep on reading to find out everything you should know about Arbonne before becoming their customer, or a consultant!

What is Multi-level Marketing (MLM)?

MLM stands for multi-level marketing, and it’s a type of a business that is almost always tied to a company that produces and sells physical products.

It’s a way of opening a company to people and allowing customers to become a part of the company without being an employee.

Why is this important to know?

Because MLM programs are aimed to produce more sales and increase the number of people who will promote the company’s products.

But what does the marketer get? As a part of any MLM program, you will be able to earn a commission on every product you sell, and even earn a commission on every product your recruit sells.

This type of business is often described as a pyramid scheme because the founder, CEO, and important employees in the company are at the top level. This is a tight circle.

However, as we all know, the bottom of the pyramide is wide. That’s exactly where all MLM participants are as they continue to expand the company’s program.

MLM isn’t always recommended because most companies started taking advantage of this business model to only improve their results without taking care of their marketers.

Therefore, MLM isn’t bad as in whole, but it’s definitely an outdated model which isn’t really ideal in the modern age, especially when there are many better models such as affiliate marketing.

And why is this important in regards to Arbonne?

Arbonne offers an opportunity to become their consultant – which in fact is an invitation to become a part of their MLM program.

Is Arbonne a Scam?

Arbonne isn’t considered a scam. The company looks very legit, it has been around for a long time, and its products look decent.

In fact, some Arbonne products are vegan-certified and their brand has Swiss heritage.

Their “become a consultant” program isn’t that very decent judging by the reviews of people who’ve been long-time consultants for Arbonne.

I believe that some of their products could be really good and useful to people. They really did their homework and managed to produce some quality products.

However, by having a look at their MLM program – it looks like the MLM program is only open to help their company grow and make more sales.

Can You Make Money with Arbonne?  arbonne mlm review

Alright, we all know by now that Arbonne accepts “consultants” which means that they have an MLM program disguised as something else.

Anyone can join it – but can anyone make money, is the real question?

The Arbonne MLM program has 5 different levels, and they even promise their best consultants a Mercedes-Benz!

Sounds too good to be true? It probably is. I was able to find out that the car they’re promising to their best consultants is actually just a partial payment help for their consultants to lease their own Mercedes-Benz.

That’s not so bad, right? But in return, consultants have to choose only a white Mercedes-Benz, keep their sales high, and display Arbonne advertising on it.

But even before joining, you need to pay $121 to sign up, you need to buy products worth $250 each month, and you even need to pay a small fee each year to renew your consultant status.

Already at this point, it looks like that the odds are stacked against the consultants.

But what if you’re really good at selling and recruiting people?

The bad news is that, even some of the best salesmen aren’t able to succeed with Arbonne.

Some of their top consultants who make “on-paper” $7,500 USD – after expenses, they only make $618 a month.

I bet they put in a lot of work and yet most of their hard work doesn’t pay off as the revenue they produce in commission is shared among the company, its recruiter, and its own product expenses.

Also, the fact is that 60% of Arbonne consultants are in the first level of their MLM program – which means that they’re almost not making a lot of money at all.

Arbonne hardly pulled out of bankruptcy in 2009, even though they had an MLM program full of consultants – which just shows how their sales aren’t that good after all. This might be due to their product prices which are a bit high – which is just another problem that consultants have to overcome.

Is Arbonne an MLMArbonne MLM Review Pyramid

By now, you can already tell that Arbonne has its own MLM program. However, if you were looking at their “Become a Consultant” program on their website – you would get a very different idea.

Therefore, not only it’s very hard to make money as an Arbonne consultant – but it’s also very hard to trust a company that’s trying to disguise their role in MLM.

Lastly, promising a car to their top consultants proved to be just another mislead which probably disappointed their top consultants even more.

Are Arbonne Products Quality Products?

Alright, their MLM program isn’t any good – but some of their products are vegan-certified and the whole point of their products is to help people live healthy, right?

To be honest, their products are a bit on the pricier side, but if they’re really quality – I am sure that most people wouldn’t mind the price.

See, the thing is when you try to do research about the quality of their products – you’ll come across blogs and people who are only saying nice things to promote their products and make commission as a consultant.

It’s hard to find an honest review. However, I was able to do my own research and I must admit that Arbonne doesn’t really produce their products as they advertise them.

They display an image of a high-end, pure, safe, and natural product. However, they’ve been holding on to certain ingredients in their products.

It seems that they’re trying to create pure products, but they’re not always able to and they’re fine with that.

Therefore, some of their products might be really good, but others might mislead some people and that’s why I highly recommend doing an ingredient research on each of their products before purchasing.

What are the Pros and Cons of Arbonne?

My Final Thoughts on Arbonne  Arbonne mlm review my final thoughts

We all remember the Herbalife and its settlement to pay out $200 million fine after following accusations of it being a pyramid scheme.

Arobnne seems very similar to Herbalife to me. They sell average products that are in my opinion overpriced, and yet their ”consultants” are losing money rather than making money.

No matter how good of salesmen you are and how well you can recruit people – their MLM program is definitely falling apart year by year.

In fact, the company hardly pulled from bankruptcy in 2009 which is just another indication that the company as whole isn’t doing well.

No matter how lucrative making money as a consultant or partner can be, don’t let most MLM schemes lure you in, waste your time, and take money out of your pocket.

In fact, down below, I’ll show you a different business model that doesn’t require you to hard sell, doesn’t require you to recruit people, and it doesn’t cost you anything to get started.
